Ward was born in MonroeLouisiana on April 151976. Monroe Christian School was her private Christian primary school. Ward attended Ouachita parish high school for her secondary education. After that, she attended River Oaks High School the summer after her senior year. The school she attended briefly was Northeast Louisiana University after graduating. Ward dropped out at thirteen and relocated to New York so that she was able to begin modeling. She had the idea to attempt acting in the following years. In the 1970s, she played an uncredited character in All My Children. A couple of years later, she was a part of the NBC premiertime drama for teens Malibu Shores. The role she was cast in was Meg Cummings, a virgin at Sunset Beach in 1996.
